It appears GOP leadership has finally recognized some of their shortcomings and may give up pretending to promote social issues in order to win future elections. Shortly after the election, Rush Limbaugh said half jokingly the GOP should embrace abortion, same sex marriage and amnesty if they expect to win future elections. The GOP has already caved in to Obama and embraced raising taxes and more spending. More and more political analysts and commentators are talking about third parties as conservatives become more disillusioned with the GOP.
